The New Mexico Locum Tenens Program provides access to national agencies for temporary physician and CRNA staffing needs. This cooperative purchasing program assists with increasing the availability of supplemental staff at a discounted rate.

HSC carefully screens its contracted locum tenens agencies to determine whether they meet the quality criteria required by the contract terms, and oversees a bi-annual audit of each agency’s records to verify that contracted agencies are meeting the conditions of the program contract.

Staffing agency contracts have been awarded for the September 1, 2004 to August 31, 2006 period. A request for proposals will be issued in mid-2006 for the next renewal contract term. Locum tenens agencies are invited to add their contact information to our bid list for the next request for proposals submission.
